It was about 2°C last night. That’s just under 36 Fahrenheit for y’all. The fingers and toes got pretty chilly but there’s no snow and salt on the ground yet... So I’ll keep on riding.

-1 and foggy here yesterday.....enough salt down on the roads to turn my tires white when riding...
(i swear our putty salt down people just sit around all year hoping it will get cold enough for them to go salt the crap out of everything..... if it even looks like it might get frosty they are out in force)

Gross! We will be getting negative temperatures this week, I wonder if they’re gonna dump more salt on the road than potential snow.

I need some heated gloves to get me through winter on my bike. Rest of my body stays warm enough, but I don’t want to risk frostbite on my fingers. I have a longish (1 hour each way) commute.

You’re crazy man. My hands go numb at 45F for morning rides (non highway) and my tires don’t like to work below 44F.

I’ve considered heated gear or heated grips... but then I step back for a moment and think “I’m on a supersport. If it’s too cold for my hands it’s too cold for my tires, I need to put her away for the season”. You ride even with snow?

The tires are my biggest concern. I got some insulated gloves that are ok at these temperatures but my hands still freeze on long highway stints. That’s when I stick em into the engine bay to defrost.

as long as the roads are clear, snow doesn’t bother me.
